VINAMAC EXPO 2025

On October 20, the 7th International Conference & Exhibition on Powder Metallurgy in Asia (APMA 2025) was grandly held in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. A concurrent award ceremony was organized to recognize the groups and individuals that have made outstanding contributions in academic research, technological development, industrial leadership and standard setting.
The independently developed "Stainless Steel Counterweight Block" by Jiangmen Hongjia New Material Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hongyu New Materials (hereinafter referred to as Hongjia Technology), was honored with the "APMA 2025 Powder Metallurgy Innovation Award".

Founded in 2014, Hongjia Technology is located in the Cuishanhu Industrial Zone, Kaiping City, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. It is dedicated to the R&D, manufacturing, sales and technical services of a variety of powder materials such as PM and MIM stainless steel metal powders, as well as powder metallurgy metal products.



The company's flagship product, the Stainless Steel Counterweight Block, pioneered the domestic application of powder metallurgy technology in manufacturing stainless steel alloy powder compressor counterweight blocks. Leveraging its existing technological strengths and robust industrial chain advantages, the company has furthered its R&D efforts in recent years, achieving a series of fruitful outcomes. The product boasts leading performance and has been successfully commercialized and mass-produced. It features high compressibility, excellent formability, non-magnetism, corrosion resistance and high precision. It breaks the industry’s reliance on lead-brass counterweight blocks produced via casting or die-casting processes, enhances the environmental performance required for compressors, improves production efficiency, reduces manufacturing costs, and causes zero pollution. With a domestic market share of over 25%, this stainless steel counterweight block serves as a key component supplier for renowned enterprises such as Gree Lingda Compressor, Suzhou Daikin Air Conditioning, Guangzhou Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic and Wanbao.
All along, Hongjia Technology has consistently integrated its intellectual property into production technologies to achieve effective technology transfer. It has conducted industry-university-research collaborations and technical exchanges with municipal and provincial engineering technology centers, the Institute of New Materials of the Guangdong Academy of Sciences, Jinan University, Guangdong University of Technology and other universities and research institutions. The company has earned several prestigious certifications: it was recognized as a National High-tech Enterprise in 2017, accredited as a Jiangmen Municipal Engineering Technology Center in the same year, certified as a Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Center in 2018, honored as a Guangdong "Specialized, Refined, Characteristic and Innovative" Enterprise in 2020, and designated as a "Little Giant" Enterprise (a top-tier specialized, refined, characteristic and innovative enterprise) in 2022. Currently, the company holds 25 authorized patents, including 3 invention patents and 22 utility model patents.
